5 BIBLE VERSES THAT CHANGED MY LIFE

In this blog I'm giving you guys 5 verses that are my absolute favorites & why. If you're interested in knowing more, then just continue reading below:)

Matthew 6:33
"Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously and He will give you everything you need.

This is definitely one of the most important statements made by Jesus Christ himself. It lets us know what our main priority should be in life. And there's even a promise at the end of the scripture "He will give you everything you need". Knowing this scripture and applying to my everyday life has allowed me to be able to for one draw closer to God and two it allowed me to realize what's actually important. Oh and not to mention, I've seen first hand how God has provided everything I needed.

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."

This verse teaches us how to trust God and lean on him for EVERYTHING in our lives. If you read Matthew 6:33 and then read this verse, it actually all makes sense. If you acknowledge and fully trust in God AKA "seek the Kingdom of God", then once again another promise.. he WILL make your paths straight.

Genesis 1:28
"Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground"

This reminds us of God's original intent for mankind. Did you know that God actually created Earth for US (his children) to rule and reign over? Many people think that this verse has something to do with bearing children. However, when he says "be fruitful" this actually means for us to be productive. If you click on the definitions for those words that are underlined, you'll have a better understanding of what God meant by this scripture. Now THAT my friend, is KINGDOM!

Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

While going through many things in life we tend to think the worst out of our circumstances. In this verse, we are reminded that the good, the bad AND the ugly will all work together for our good. There's plenty of instances in my life where I thought things got pretty ugly.. & guess what, in those same things I'm able to help others overcome them as well as be a living testimony that it'll all make sense in the end:)

Matthew 22:37-39
"Jesus replied, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind." This is the first & greatest commandment. The second is equally important. Love your neighbor as yourself"

I absolutely love the fact that these scriptures clearly state that these are THE MOST important commandments of them all. And if you think about it, it actually makes sense. If you love God and love your neighbor, then you will keep the other commandments. You won't kill, steal, commit adultery, have any other gods before God himself because you love him THAT much. This is what the scripture "Love covers a multitude of sins" actually means. #LoveGodLovePeople
